Is this you?

You're capable.
You're driven.
Something still holds you back.

From the outside, everything looks fine. You perform. You deliver. You keep moving. But underneath there's a pattern: a ceiling you keep hitting, a version of yourself you can't quite reach, or an exhaustion that has nothing to do with how hard you work.

Coaching isn't about adding more goals. It's about understanding what's underneath the ones you already have, and whether the way you're pursuing them is actually yours.

"The client always does the work. I am simply the facilitator who holds the space for it." John Cummins

01 A ceiling you keep hitting: professionally or personally, no matter what you try
02 Burnout or chronic overwhelm despite genuine commitment and hard work
03 A major life or career transition you want to navigate with clarity and intention
04 Leadership challenges: managing people, influence, difficult dynamics
05 Imposter syndrome or self-doubt that doesn't match the evidence around you
06 A gap between the life you're living and the life you sense is possible
07 Values and actions that feel misaligned: doing the right things for the wrong reasons
08 A need for a thinking partner who won't just tell you what you want to hear
The approach

Coaching that works
from the
inside out.

Most coaching focuses on strategy, habits, and accountability. This coaching does that, and it also asks a harder question: what's underneath the pattern you keep returning to?

With a background in medical science, corporate finance, and somatic therapy, John brings a perspective that most coaches simply don't have. He understands both the corporate world you operate in and the nervous system that operates you.

Sessions are not prescriptive. They are exploratory. The direction comes from you. The questions come from curiosity, not an agenda.

Nervous system awareness

Your nervous system shapes how you make decisions, how you lead, and how you respond under pressure. Understanding your own patterns, not as weaknesses but as information, changes the game.

Subconscious pattern work

What drives you isn't always what you think drives you. Coaching explores the beliefs, assumptions, and early decisions that quietly shape your choices, creating space for new ones.

Embodied insight

Insight that stays in the head rarely sticks. Somatic coaching ensures that what shifts in a conversation becomes felt: integrated into how you move through the world, not just thought about it.

Strategic clarity

With two decades in corporate environments and business leadership, John can also meet you on the practical level: goal-setting, career strategy, leadership development, and transition planning.

Who it's for

You don't have to be
in crisis to grow.

Growth coaching is for people who are already functioning well and want to go further, with more clarity, more alignment, and less of the weight they've been carrying quietly.

Professionals & Executives

Navigating leadership complexity, team dynamics, high-stakes decisions, and the personal cost of performing at that level, or losing yourself in the role.

Entrepreneurs

Building something that matters, managing the isolation and pressure of it, and making sure the business you're creating isn't being quietly run by your unexamined fears.

People in Transition

Career change, life chapter change, a relationship that ended, a version of yourself you've outgrown. Transition deserves more than a plan. It deserves presence and honesty.

Corporate Teams

With 20+ years in leadership and business development, John also works with teams and organisations on culture, wellbeing, communication, and performance.

Creatives

People whose inner life feeds their work, and who sometimes need a space that honours both the personal and the professional without flattening one into the other.

Anyone ready

Growth doesn't require a label or a category. If you're here, something in you already knows it's time. That's enough to start.

"John doesn't just stand out because of his wisdom. It's the way he helps you access your own. His coaching doesn't feel like being taught. It feels like being reminded of who you truly are."
Terry, Entrepreneur

Common questions

Questions about somatic coaching.

What is somatic coaching?
Somatic coaching is a body-informed approach to personal and professional growth that works with the nervous system patterns underneath behaviour. Unlike traditional coaching, which focuses primarily on goals, mindset, and action plans, somatic coaching recognises that many of the patterns holding people back are not cognitive: they are stored in the body as habitual tension, reactivity, or shutdown. By working at that level, change becomes more durable and more genuinely yours.
How is somatic coaching different from therapy?
Therapy typically focuses on healing: working through past wounds, trauma, and emotional patterns that are causing suffering. Coaching focuses on growth: moving forward with clarity, purpose, and greater effectiveness. Somatic coaching sits at the intersection: it is not crisis support, but it takes the body and nervous system seriously as part of how growth happens. If you are functional but constrained, coaching is often the right entry point. If something deeper is in the way, Heal may be more appropriate.
Who is somatic coaching for?
Somatic coaching is for people who are performing, professionally, personally, or both, but feel constrained by patterns they cannot seem to shift through effort alone. This includes leaders and executives navigating burnout or difficult dynamics, people facing major transitions, and anyone who senses a gap between the life they are living and the one that feels possible. You do not have to be in crisis to benefit from this work.
What does a coaching session look like?
Sessions are held online via video call and last 60 minutes. The work is conversational but not just verbal: John brings attention to what is happening in the body, what the nervous system is doing, and where patterns are showing up beneath the surface of what is being discussed. The work may draw on Compassionate Inquiry Informed approaches, IFS parts work, and somatic body awareness. Sessions are led by what is most present for you. There is no fixed agenda. The structure emerges from the work itself.
Is somatic coaching the same as executive coaching?
Somatic coaching shares some territory with executive coaching, covering leadership, performance, decision-making, managing others: but the approach is different. Most executive coaching works at the level of strategy, behaviour, and mindset. Somatic coaching works at those levels too, but also asks: what is the nervous system doing underneath? What survival pattern is running the decision? That deeper layer is often where the real leverage is, especially for high-performers who have already tried everything else.
How many sessions will I need?
This depends on what you are working on and what you want to achieve. Some people come for a defined period to navigate a specific transition or challenge: and find six sessions brings significant clarity. Others find ongoing monthly sessions more useful as a thinking partnership. A free discovery call is the starting point, and from there you can decide what makes sense without any obligation to commit upfront.
What is the difference between Heal and Grow?
Heal is somatic therapy. For when something is in the way. Chronic stress, trauma, emotional patterns that talking alone has not shifted. Grow is somatic coaching. For when you are functional but constrained, and ready to move forward with more clarity and intention. Both use body-informed approaches and draw on the same underlying understanding of the nervous system. If you are not sure which fits, the discovery call is the right place to explore that together.
